🇭🇷 LDA Europe at Expo Dubrovnik 2025: Empowering Youth Through Apprenticeship & Innovation
📍 About the Event
From March 19–22, 2025, LDA Europe participated in Expo Dubrovnik, a major regional event that brought together youth, educators, NGOs, and institutions from across the Western Balkans and Europe.
Held at the Student Dormitory of Dubrovnik, the expo gathered over 4,000 students, 70+ high schools, 30 universities, and 40+ exhibitors, including EU institutions and youth-focused organizations.
Our participation was part of the NURTURE Project, an Erasmus+ funded initiative focused on youth empowerment, NGO capacity-building, and professional development through apprenticeships.
🌱 What We Showcased
As the NSP (National Support Point) for Albania, LDA Europe presented:
- The Apprenticeship Model implemented in Albania
- Career Counseling and Mentorship Toolkits
- Success stories from 31 selected apprentices placed in 9 NGOs
- Promotional materials and insights on youth development in the nonprofit sector
We also co-hosted an international panel discussion, where representatives from Albania, Montenegro, and Bosnia & Herzegovina shared insights on:
✔ Apprenticeships in NGOs
✔ The role of mentorship
✔ Career paths in the nonprofit sector
✔ Their personal journeys in youth work and civil society
🤝 Representing Albania
LDA Europe’s delegation at Expo Dubrovnik included:

- Ilda Lama – Outreach & Mentorship
- Redis Halili – Event Coordinator
Ilda Lama also took part as a panelist during the international conference, representing the work done through NURTURE in Albania and sharing insights from her own experience working with youth and civil society.

Through our presence at the expo, we had the opportunity to:
- Connect with regional and EU stakeholders
- Engage directly with high school students
- Promote the NGO sector as a meaningful and impactful career path
- Raise visibility for the work of young apprentices and mentors in Albania
