From March 16–21, 2025, LDA Europe participated in the KA1 Erasmus+ International Project Building held in Madrid, Spain, under the theme:
“Increasing Employability Rates of Disadvantaged Youngsters Across Europe.”
As the sending organization, LDA Europe proudly delegated three motivated participants to take part in this powerful initiative organized by YouthProAktiv and co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
The week-long activity brought together youth workers, NGO leaders, and educators from across the continent to co-create project ideas, share best practices, and build long-term partnerships that aim to empower disadvantaged youth in accessing meaningful employment opportunities.
🌍 Why It Matters
In a rapidly evolving labor market, many young people—especially those from vulnerable backgrounds—face systemic barriers to employment. This Erasmus+ initiative tackled that challenge head-on by providing a space for organizations to design innovative, inclusive, and impactful youth-focused projects.
Our participants actively engaged in sessions on:
- Needs assessment and community mapping
- EU project development frameworks
- Cross-cultural collaboration
- Sustainable impact and dissemination strategies
Beyond technical skills, the experience nurtured intercultural learning, youth leadership, and a shared commitment to addressing unemployment through education, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement.
🤝 LDA Europe’s Contribution
As a long-time advocate of youth empowerment and civic leadership in the Western Balkans, LDA Europe used this opportunity to bring regional perspectives into the dialogue. Our team proposed project ideas focused on social entrepreneurship, green skills for youth, and career readiness programs tailored to marginalized communities.
This experience not only strengthened our network across Europe but also laid the foundation for future Erasmus+ partnerships focused on concrete, youth-driven impact.
📸 A Glimpse into the Experience
The sessions were held in a vibrant and inclusive environment, fostering creativity and solidarity among the participants. Whether during group discussions, cultural exchange moments, or informal networking, the energy and sense of purpose were unmistakable.
“We left Madrid with new tools, new friends, and a renewed motivation to create opportunities for those who need them most,” said one of our participants.
💬 What’s Next?
The insights and project concepts developed during this training will be brought back to Albania and the Western Balkans through follow-up initiatives, local trainings, and strategic partnerships that aim to put words into action.
We thank YouthProAktiv and Erasmus+ for this transformative opportunity — and we look forward to turning these ideas into real, measurable impact.
